What PRIVACUT does

PRIVACUT combines deterministic patterns and contextual rules to suggest information that may be sensitive. Optional local detection components may be added only when disclosed. The current default detector does not send text to a third-party generative-AI provider.

What it does not do

Detection is not infallible and automated output verification does not prove that every sensitive fact was found. PRIVACUT does not provide legal, privacy, tax, accounting, or compliance advice and does not certify a document as safe for every purpose. V1 supports searchable PDFs; scanned or image-only documents and OCR are not currently promised.

Your review

• Inspect every page and every proposed redaction.
• Remove incorrect findings and add manual redactions where needed.
• Check the new downloaded document before sharing it.
• Remember that unselected content and contextual clues remain visible.

Responsible use

Only process documents you are authorized to handle. Never submit passwords, authentication secrets, or unnecessary personal information. Use the built-in synthetic samples when you want to learn the workflow without exposing a real document. The initial V1 market is limited to the United States; international support is not promised.
